The offer of admission and timely acceptance of that offer constitute entitlement to a university place. Applicants become students only once they have registered or enrolled with the university.

Registration usually takes place in:

  • Early March for the summer semester
  • Early September for the winter semester


You will register at the Examinations/Registration Office on either the Furtwangen, Schwenningen or Tuttlingen campus, depending on your degree programme. You must register in person. In exceptional cases you may give written authorisation for another person to act on your behalf.
 
During the first week of lectures, you will receive your student ID, the HFU card and enrolment documents.

Documents required

The following documents must be presented when registering:

  • A completed registration application form
  • The admissions offer letter
  • Proof of valid medical insurance
  • Any documents listed as missing in the admissions offer letter

Payment of Fees

Before registering, you must transfer payment of any required fees to the university account. Currently the fees payable are as follows:
