You already have your Bachelor's degree or professional training in the area of health promotion, preventitive healthcare or rehabilitation and would like to gain further qualifications? Together with the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Furtwangen University is offering a new programme to train specialists in the area of Health Promotion. Initially, one-year courses will be offered in "Diagnostics & Management in Health Promotion", "Applied Nutritional Science" and "Movement Analysis and Training", each composed of 2 modules. Upon completion, a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) will be awarded. Later these courses will be combined with further modules developed jointly by both institutions, which will lead to a Master's degree.

The blended learning concept is used to give people who are working full-time the opportunity to participate. Thus the CAS modules are composed mainly of e-learning elements which can be worked on wherever and whenever it suits the students. Online tutors support the learning process. Traditional face-to-face lectures are held as block sessions on weekends. The programme is financially supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg.
