Programme extras

  • Mentoring Programme
A "Mentoring Programme" is offered on the BCM programme whereby each student is assigned a mentor (a volunteer BCM graduate) who helps new students by sharing their experiences and by giving advice about living, studying and working in Germany. Please note the students and their mentors do not enter into any kind of obligatory relationship in this programme.

  • German Conversation Group
Though the BCM programme is taught completely in English, we highly recommend our students to improve their German skills during the course of the programme as good German skills play a crucial role in securing a job or an internship in Germany. Besides the German classes which are already offered through the university, we also organize a "Stammtisch" with a German colleague once every week. These conversational sessions enable our students to learn the language more quickly, thus preparing them for their future role as Business Consultants.
  • Presentation and Moderation Techniques Workshop
Business Consultants are expected to have excellent communication and presentation skills. Besides the numerous presentations which are part of the curriculum, additional help is also provided. A "Soft Skills Workshop" is offered to BCM students to improve their communication and interpersonal skills.

Careers Perspectives

Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), reorientation in the organisation of processes, the search for new business fields, process design as well as implementing these goals by means of modern information technology are measures through which many corporations prepare for the future. Throughout the world there is a critical lack of highly qualified advisors, specialists and project leaders who can support corporations in such endeavours. The need for advisors with such a profile is extraordinarily high and continuously expanding. In Germany there are currently about 11,000 consulting firms. Twenty of the major consulting firms alone employ more than 5,000 people. In addition, firms that market standard software or software packages (so-called solution providers) require about the same number of staff. The need for qualified junior staff or even university graduates specialized in this sector cannot currently be met.

Business Consulting graduates will find a job in any business area or industry around the world. Our Business Consulting programme enables our graduates to identify and fully grasp the opportunities that lie ahead, choosing from a variety of career paths in diverse areas ranging from management to information technology.

Here just a few of the jobs open to you as future BCM graduate:

  • SAP Consultant
  • Business Process Consultant
  • Supply Chain Management Consultant
  • Business Intelligence Consultant
  • Business Analyst
  • Software Engineer
  • Financial Advisor
