Technical Orientation (Prep Course)
If you are interested in studying engineering but are unsure about whether it is the right programme for you, or you are unsure about whether your knowledge of maths and physics is adequate, the Technical Orientation Prep Course offered on the Tuttlingen campus of Furtwangen University might be just what you are looking for. The course provides an introduction to various engineering disciplines and strengthens the basic subjects of maths and physics. The course introduces students to the areas of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, production engineering, materials engineering, medical engineering and simulation. The prep course also provides an introduction to basic scientific methods and familiarizes participants with the university facilities such as the library and the various labs. Lectures on presentation, time management and goal-setting skills as well as working methods are also included in the programme. Several company visits are also part of the programme as the university enjoys close contacts with local industry.
Participants are guaranteed a study place in the bachelor degree programme of their choice on the Tuttlingen Campus upon successful completion of the course.
