Student Organizations and Clubs
Reftreff - Activities and sports organized by the Student Council
The Student Council (Allgemeine Studierenden Ausschuss AStA) not only represents the interests of students at the university, they also organise a variety of fun, social events and run student clubs and sports societies to help you make new friends and settle in. These can be found on the Reftreff website.
The clubs (Referate) listed on the Reftreff website are run by students for students and can be any kind of sport or cultural activity, from Zumba and Rock Climbing to Darts, Manga or Parcour. The activities are financially supported by the student organization so that there are no costs involved for trainers and they are usually free or almost free for participants. They are always looking for students who can offer such activities or who have ideas for new activities. Coaching certificates for trainers or supervisors are preferred, but not absolutely necessary.
Check the Reftreff website for current activities and sports being offered.
Equipment for student parties (e.g. sound system, bar, plates, glasses, cash register, etc.) can also be borrowed from the Student organization offices. More information can be found on the AStA website.
