What the LC does

Economic and social globalisation means that the following key skills are becoming more and more important:

  • General linguistic communicative ability
  • Expertise in nation-specific technical, economic, and legal matters
  • Regional and cultural knowledge – in particular, an understanding of social, political, economic, and legal structures
  • Social, cultural, and emotional understanding

The Language Center provides special courses that teach these key skills. Our range of language courses – English, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and German as a Foreign Language (DaF) – is particularly comprehensive.
