Coffee afternoons for student parents

You have to take your kid to the doctor, study for the next exam, send an application form for your internship and organize a babysitter for Friday - how are you going to manage it all? Or, where are you going to get financial help? Studying parents need a lot of help to answer these questions and more regarding the organization and financing of studying and bringing up a family at the same time,

Katharina Kirschbaum of the Family-friendly University department of Furtwangen University has organized a new parents coffee afternoon (in German, Elterncafé) on both the Furtwangen and Schwenningen campuses. Kids are of course welcome, too.

Monday, 10 October 2016 from 2.00 - 4.00pm in the Maria Goretti kindergarten, Lindenstraße 3., organized together with Silvia Fürderer (Furtwangen Catholic Family Centre) and Michael Schlegel (Catholic University Congregation (KHG) Furtwangen)

Wednesday, 19 October 2016 from 3.00 - 5.00pm in Room C 1.11 on the Schwenningen campus.
The event is supported by Märit Kaasch (Protestant Minister) and Lucia Feuerstein (Catholic Congregation coordinator), who both work at the university's church community "Church at campus".

Furtwangen University has a long tradition of being a family-friendly university. One of the goals of HFU is to set up a study environment which allows the optimal combination of both family and study.
