The percentage of women in management positions does not correlate to the number of qualified women actually available. This is especially true of the MINT area. The STAFF Project examines the differences between male and female researchers in their daily work, their actual activities and the course of their career. Whether the reason for the small number of women in management positions in industry is directly related to the short time they spend in R&D departments is examined.
