Patient-specific clinical Decision Support Systems for Organ Failure
For several years hospitals have been using so-called patient data management systems (PDMS) to record and document patient and equipment data, particularly in the area of intensive medicine and anesthesia. The aim of this project is to make use of this data from the PDMS to give doctors PDMS-based decision support systems which will support them in the diagnosis of illnesses and the choice of suitable therapy.
In the development and validation of the decision support systems, monitored statistical/machine learning and statistical matchings methods will be used. The main focus of the work is the development of a dynamic, patient-specific learning process.
