Sub-project: Prototype-based development processes for technical services
Prototyping, the development of cost-effective test versions, is very popular in companies. With the production of a prototype, ideas can be visualized, possible solutions can be worked out or initial results can be tested or experienced in a realistic way. However, in the area of service development, prototyping is seldom applied.
The dimenSion joint project aims to develop prototyping methods to find ways of solving problems and for the testing, decision-making process, optimization, training and documentation of service developments.
The goal of the HFU sub-project is the further development of tools for service prototyping, e.g. through the implementation and adaption of already well-known methods from the field of Service Engineering. Usability Engineering in particular will be used to evaluate the effect of complex services on customers.
The implementation and application of the project results will improve the quality and user-friendliness of service designs. The success rate and the efficiency of services development will also be improved.
