Furtwangen University is one of the universities in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg with the highest percentage of external funds. Generous sponsors and interested donors are able to support the university through donations of both money and equipment. With these the university is able to initiate and support projects which could not be financed through the university's normal budget. Numerous sponsors and donors from the worlds of business, politics and science support the HFU and its students in a variety of ways.

Deutschlandstipendium 
The Deutschlandstipendium is intended to support talented high-performance students financially. The recipients receive - initially for one year - amonthly stipend of 300,- €. This stipend is financed, in each case, 50% by a provate sponsor and 50% by the German state. It is possible to extend the duration of the stipend until the end of the normal duration of studies.
