New Careers Combining Engineering and Service

Technical customer service is becoming increasingly important for many companies – as products become more similar, service can make all the difference when it comes to competition. In addition, growing pricing pressure means that profits are generally only earned through after-sales services. Since product complexity and the corresponding diagnostic technology are both increasing, the job market needs service managers who have expertise in both engineering and service marketing, cost calculation and service quality assurance. The Faculty of Engineering Management has developed the new Service Management degree programme within the field of engineering management to meet these demands. The content of the programme corresponds to the needs of the most important service-intensive industries.
