1 Programme – 3 Areas of Specialization

No matter whether you are planning a career in software development, in technical systems development, network management, IT consulting or in project management – with 40 years of experience in offering computer science degrees, we tune up your career for the digital era.

Start together - decide on your area of specialization later

After completing the core courses, at the beginning of the 3rd semester you will select one of the following new areas of specialization:
Software Engineering, Networks and IT Security or Technical Computer Science.

Software Engineering

Learn about software development as an entire system. Gain modern software technologies in order to successfully design and realize large IT systems. Software methods, programming models and open-source-based development are the focus of this area of specialization.

Networks and IT Security

If you want to play a part in shaping a networked world, then this area of specialization is the right one for you. With a focus on computer networks, network management, data security and IT security management, you will gain the expertise required for this booming market.

Technical Computer Science

In this area of specialization you will learn to work on the development of embedded systems. These mainly invisible minicomputers can be found in almost all technical devices: in cars, smartphones, medical devices, industrial plants and household appliances. With a focus on embedded systems, programmable components and hardware/software codesign, you will be well-prepared for this innovative, future-oriented type of work.
