The Faculty of Digital Media's interdisciplinary educational approach is designed to enable students to study, reflect on, and design media in an holistic manner. It demonstrates a strong emphasis on scientific approaches and knowledge features with excellent teaching, practical work, and research. This emphasis is reflected in students' research projects, which are developed as part of regular classes and studies.
While developing their projects, students can draw on the support of professors and – depending on the project – renowned partners in industry. They also have access to the faculty's modern, well-equipped laboratories. The projects that are produced within this environment are varied and of high quality, with topics ranging from film production to website development to interactive installations. Each semester, the best projects are presented during the annual on-campus MediaNight event and awarded prizes by a jury.
