The 13th WING half marathon and 10K run organised by the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering takes place on Saturday, 28 October 2017. Everyone is welcome - students, both past and present, staff, professors and guests from outside the university. The most important thing is taking part, meeting people and having a great time - not setting records. The run for the Waldmann Cup takes place in the wonderful countryside of the Black Forest and is accompanied with a complete programme of events making it an all-round fun experience for everybody. A variety of prizes including original lithographies by the Villingen artist Paul Revellio will be awarded.
Runners can register for the half marathon, 21.1 km or the 10 K distance. Walkers also follow the 10km route which leads from the university over Baumannstraße in Furtwangen parallel to the Breg. The turning point for the half marathon is in Vöhrenbach.
The team competition which was introduced last year allows mixed teams of any size to be registered. The team with the most kilometres clocked up wins. The main aim though is just to have a good time running together.
The event starts at 10.30am in the car park near the HFU auditorium on the Furtwangen Campus. The legendary pasta event will be held as always on the evening before, on 27 October, at 6.00pm in the HFU cafeteria. The pasta party, accompanied by the band "La vida loca", is free of charge for all runners and guests.
Registration deadline is Thursday 26 October 2017. Registration may still be possible on 27 and 28 October. Registration and further information can be found under: wing-halbmarathon.hs-furtwangen.de
