Gender Diversity Impact - Improving Research and Innovation through Gender Diversity
The partners in this joint project are working together to produce a Gender Diversity Index (GDI), which is intended to show for the first time, the measurable relationship between research results and gender diversity. Previous research has shown that certain aspects of gender affect the quality and productivity (innovation output) of research teams, however the specific effects of gender diversity in research teams have until now not been adequately addressed.
The interactions in research teams will be analysed with the use of innovative methods (Case Studies) and combined with Europe-wide patent and bibliometric analyses. Within the scope of the research project, teams in the field of medical technology and transport logistics will be examined.
